Saoirse Ronan, the Oscar-nominated star of Brooklyn, and Don Cheadle, whose new film Miles Ahead hits theaters next month, were both guests on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night, and the two of them joined Fallon and Steve Higgins for quite the intense game of Catchphrase. Fallon and Ronan were on one team, while Cheadle and Higgins were on another, and throughout most of the game, the two teams were pretty much neck and neck, guessing phrases that no one could believe.
For example, Ronan somehow guessed “Swipe Right” and “Show Off,” with Fallon providing her with some great clues. However, the two of them struggled a little bit when she tried to do “Bust a Move.”
“You throw a shape,”Ronan said repeatedly, mentioning how you do this when you’re dancing.
When Fallon found out the phrase was “Bust a Move,” he couldn’t believe it, and he, Higgins, and Cheadle joked that “throw a shape” must be an Irish thing. The three of them even talked in really bad accents that had Ronan laughing.

Later on in the show, during her interview with Fallon, Ronan commented on how competitive the game of Catchprhase was and how she was a little nervous before they began playing it.
“Do they have game nights in Ireland?” Fallon asked her.
“It’s not really a thing, I have to say,” Ronan told him. “So I was quite intimidated coming on to do this, because I’ve been around Americans before when they play games, and you’re really competitive….You were like really aggressive.”
