In tonight’s aptly titled Baby Daddy episode, “The Return of the Mommy” could mean big things for Ben and Emma.
This sneak peek gives us a taste of Ben’s single dad life. Rushing around to get Emma ready for daycare in time to get himself to work, he’s got his hands full. Emma sees her “mama” Angela on TV in a promo for her starring role as “Cop Girl”.
Angela has a history of popping in and out of her daughter’s life ever since dropping her off on Ben’s doorstep roughly 4 years (aka 5 seasons) ago. She’s never stuck around long enough to truly bond with Emma or make amends with Ben for leaving him in the lurch so I don’t expect this time around to be any different. In fact, this is the actress Mimi Gianopulos’ only IMDB listing for this season.
Ben mentions he and Emma have a preschool interview, which may be where Angela could come in handy. She can use her rising star power to influence the competitive school admissions officer.
Elsewhere on the episode tonight, Tucker sounds like he’ll be a laugh riot living in fear of his boss, Mary Hart. Bonnie temporarily manages her sons’ bar but it’s unclear where guest star People/Entertainment Weekly editor Jess Cagle comes into the picture. Possibly as a connection to the prestigious preschool for Emma? Some other random connection Angela has as she’s become a D-list celebrity apparently? Or he could simply be a new friend of Bonnie’s in on her scheming at Ben and Danny’s bar.
