When two people try to keep their relationship under wraps it’s never easy. But things are about to get really difficult for Maggie and Deluca on the latest Grey’s Anatomy episode. Kelly McCreary, who plays Maggie told TV Guide, “We’ve seen so far, with Maggie and DeLuca, that they’ve not been very successful at keeping their relationship a secret. I’ll just say that the stress of that sort of starts to bear down on DeLuca in particular, and they’re faced with a reality check about what they’re doing.”
Giacomo Gianniotti who plays Deluca adds: “Something happens that makes them both sort of solidify their stance on how they feel about the relationship.”
Obviously viewers will have to tune in to see what that “something” actually is. There’s a theory that their relationship started by accident (which it pretty much did) and now that two are starting to realize that they might be in over their heads. McCreary then said,
“I think this whole thing snuck up on Maggie. What’s been fun to play is watching her enjoy it, and not try to run away from it. She’s certainly trying to keep things compartmentalized, and [faces] the challenges that human beings face when they try to be so in control of every part of their lives.”
While the “couple” shares the same hesitations about their relationship, they become at odds with each other. And in tonight’s episode they are definitely out of sync. McCreary hints: “It definitely takes an unexpected turn, which I don’t think fans will see coming.”
