Obscure 80s Music Videos That Are Extremely 80s

Perhaps it’s nostalgia. Perhaps it’s knowing that I’m snowed in and have nothing to do but reminisce about when I was a child. The fact that 1980 is actually closing in on being 40 years ago is pretty scary. And the difference between now and anything that long ago is pretty astounding as well.   Think about where we are with technology today as opposed to then.  Think about television, music, movies.  Imagine where we’ll be in 2050.  It’s crazy.

Not really sure where I was going with that but the point is I miss the 80s. I miss the music. I miss the weird hair and blazers in high school. I was only 5 or 6 when the real 80s music videos started to air, but I feel like I remember them. It’s unfortunate I missed these gems though.

Here are some 80s videos that couldn’t be more 80s if they tried

Sensus’s “Sensus”

Ooooooh! Blacklight!  So hip.  So groovy.  So…..80s!

Lady Pank’s “Minus Zero”

The bouncing in this video is indescribable.

The Vel’s “Look my Way”

This might be one of the happiest songs I’ve ever heard.

Classic Nouveaux’s “Guilty”

I think the movie Powder was inspired by this video

Sparks and Jane Wiedlin’s Cool Places

Is this pre or post Go Gos? I loved Jane Wiedlin in Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure by the way.

Klaus Nomi’s “Lightning Strikes”

I have no response to this other than I’m really afraid.
