Well, it finally happened. Netflix is now streaming all ten seasons of Friends, so you can now relive all your favorite moments including when Chandler and Monica said “I do,” Phoebe gave birth to her brother’s triplets, Joey became a huge soap star then fell down an elevator shaft, and when Ross told Rachel, “We were on a break.” Over the last few weeks, we at TVOvermind have been scanning through all 200+ episodes of the show (we are not complaining) to pick the top episodes from each season for our readers to watch on Netflix. If you have not already done so, check them out and make your binge-watching that much easier. So here are out top picks from the sixth season, in which Chandler proposes to Monica, Ross gives Phoebe and Rachel a lesson in unagi, and Joey falls in love with a model.

“The One on the Last Night,” original air date November 4, 1999

Earlier in the season on Friends, Monica and Chandler decided to move in together. That means that Rachel needs to move out of the apartment. Phoebe gladly accepts her into her home, and this episode focuses on Rachel moving on. Rachel ends up moving a half a dozen times by the time the series concludes, which must be a pain to do especially in New York City. But we as viewers, need to remember this is not real life only a television show. It is the night before the big move and Phoebe discovers that Rachel has yet to pack any of her stuff. When Monica walks in, she is instantly angry. However, Rachel says it is a surprise because she knows Monica loves cleaning. Phoebe rushes out to warn the guys, who quickly exit the apartment and are free from helping Rachel pack her things. Monica and Rachel end up getting in a big, but humorous fight, and Rachel asserts that she will not be leaving the dwelling. Phoebe gets the two to make up and all three share a hug.

Elsewhere, Chandler becomes worried that Joey will not be able to pay the bills alone so he makes up a game called “Cups” to give Joey his money. The game is almost as cool as “Bamboozled.” Joey has no idea what Chandler is doing, but is overjoyed with all the money he has won. Ross is home at his apartment claiming he is watching his son, which is just a pumpkin dressed up to look like a kid. His plan is foiled once the pumpkin head falls off the body and Monica sees him through the window. He comes over to the apartment and plays “Cups” with Joey and wins all off Chandler’s money.

Best Quote:

Monica: Well, this is the last box of your clothes. I’m just going to label it, “What were you thinking?”

Rachel: That’s funny. I was just gonna go across the hall and write that on Chandler.

“The One with the Apothecary Table,” original air date January 6, 2000

This episode could have also been called, “The One with the Shout Out to Pottery Barn.” Once you look past the obvious product placement, you will truly love this episode. I think Friends season six was truly the season of Jennifer Aniston, who was in the forefront of many of the greatest episodes. Rachel’s new living arrangement with Phoebe made for some stellar Friends watching. In this episode, Rachel purchases an apothecary table, which Ross informs her will make Phoebe mad because she detests mass-produced items. She tries to cover up her mistake by announcing that she bought it at a flea market. Rachel cannot control her love for Pottery Barn and buys almost the entire store. While walking down the street, Phoebe notices where Rachel actually bought the items and doesn’t care when she sees a lamp she loves in the store.

The “B Storyline” features Joey and Janine double dating with Monica and Chandler. It comes to light that Janine does not care for the two and wants Joey to stop hanging out with them. He ends up choosing his friends over her and she ends up moving out of the apartment. The scene between Janine and Monica in the hallway is a must watch.

Joey: She kisses better than my mom… cooks.

Monica: I am so glad you said cooks.

“The One with Unagi,” original air date February 24, 2000

Yes, another Friends season six episode that features the hilarious friendship of Phoebe and Rachel. The girls have recently enrolled in a self defense class and are convinced they could beat anyone up. Ross does not believe the girls could take on someone if it was a surprise attack unless they have something called “unagi,” which according to him is a total state of awareness. Ross plans a surprise attack on Rachel and Phoebe, who begin screaming when Ross jumps out and yells, “Danger.” The two get back at him when they jump out at him in his own apartment. Ross tries to get the last laugh in the end, but attacks two random women who look like Rachel and Phoebe.

In another storyline from this episode, Joey is in the need of new headshots. He is currently working at Central Perk, but his tips are not going to pay for them. He decides to go get some medical testing done on himself and finds out that there is a twin study going on. He finds a doppelganger named Carl at his commercial audition, who he brings back to the testing center. However, the experiment is for identical twins and Joey is out of luck.

Plus, Monica and Chandler make one another Valentine’s gifts. Both of them forget, but Chandler finds an old mix tape and Monica tries to pawn off one of Phoebe’s sock bunnies as one of her own creations. She tries to make it up to Chandler by cooking all his favorite meals. When they play the tape, Janice’s voice is heard bellowing from the tape player and Monica is furious. Happy Valentine’s Day from Friends. It is always a real treat when fans get to see or hear Janice in an episode.

Chandler: Guys, I need your help. I don’t know what to get Monica for Valentine’s Day.

Rachel: Well, Valentine’s Day was two weeks ago so I wouldn’t get her a calendar.
