I realize the irony of this as I post this, but social media. Particularly Twitter, but I think that Twitter has done harm to society by harnessing the worst parts of people. Bully campaigns because a person has a view you don’t like, a religion you don’t like, or a race/sex you don’t like, rage without end, and those tweets gets quoted and replied to, and people have become more polarized than ever. Polarized to the point that if you don’t agree, then your “silence is violence” and so violence is justified against those that dare disagree with your particular brand of groupthink.

Private health insurance (and, by extension, unregulated capitalism). I think it’s utterly immoral to profit from the suffering of others, and all health insurance companies make billions denying patients proper health care. Disgusting.
