As a Forrester, he’s part of the family’s fashion business, Forrester Creations, where he works as a designer. Thomas Forrester is the first child and son of B&B’s super couple Ridge Forrester (Ronn Moss, Thorsten Kaye) and Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo, Krista Allen).

Various Child Actors (1998-2002)
Executive producer and head writer Bradley Bell introduced the Thomas Forrester character. The character first appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful on January 7, 1998, as a baby. Thomas’s father, Ridge, began dating his psychiatrist, Taylor Hayes, after the death of his wife, the virginal heiress Caroline Spencer (Joanna Johnson). Thomas is the grandson of Eric (John McCook) and Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery).
After his mother discovered she was pregnant with Thomas, she lied after supposedly catching Ridge Forrester and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) in bed. As such, she lied that Ridge’s younger brother, Thorne Forrester (Winsor Harmon), was the child’s father. After realizing Brooke had set up Ridge, she later revealed Thomas’s true paternity to Ridge. Thomas has two younger siblings, twins Steffy Forrester and Phoebe Forrester. Several child actors played Thomas Forrester in an uncredited role.
Patrick Dorn (2002–2003)
After Thomas Forrester’s character was rapidly aged, child actor Patrick Dorn became the first credited actor to portray the character. Dorn appeared as Thomas in 60 episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful from 2003 and 2003. Patrick Dorn, born on August 6, 1991, first appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful as Thomas on January 15, 2002. Dorn was 10 years old at the time he made his first appearance. Patrick Dorn last appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful on the episode that aired on August 4, 2003.
Drew Tyler Bell (2004–2010)
Drew Tyler Bell became the first actor on contract to portray Thomas Forrester. Bell was recast as Thomas since the show’s head writer felt it was time to age the character again. At present, Drew Tyler Bell has portrayed the character the longest, having appeared on the show from 2004 to 2010. However, it was only the first and last year that he was on contract. He was shifted to a recurring role in 2005 and continued until 2009. Bell helped popularize the Thomas Forrester character. Drew Tyler Bell was nominated and won Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series at the Daytime Emmy Award in 2008. Bell was dropped from the role in 2010 and was almost immediately replaced.
Adam Gregory (2010–2014)
Adam Gregory, who played Ty Collins in a recurring role in 90210 from 2008 to 2009, was recast as Thomas Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful in 2010. Gregory, who married Sheridan Sperry on February 26, 2010, turned 23 by the end of 2010. He continued to play Thomas for the next couple of years before the character began making fewer appearances on the show. Sometime in December 2013, eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed Adam Gregory’s name was no longer part of the opening credits. Although there were speculations the actor had been fired, Gregory appeared again in a few episodes in 2014. However, B&B confirmed Adam Gregory was no longer a cast member in May 2015. To that end, a casting call for a replacement was announced. The casting call sought a “handsome, tall, Caucasian man in his 20s with a great physique.”
Pierson Fodé (2015–2018)
B&B announced in June 2015 that it had found a replacement to portray Thomas Forrester. Actor, internet personality, and model Pierson Fodé made his debut in The Bold and the Beautiful on July 27, 2015. Like Adam Gregory, Pierson Fodé provided the charming, pretty boy image to Thomas Forrester’s character. News of his departure from the show first broke on Soap Opera Digest on September 7, 2017.
Less than a week later, Pierson Fodé made his last appearance on September 13, 2017. Neither Fodé nor Thomas Forrester appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful until March 2018. In a surprising announcement on February 16, 2018, it was revealed Pierson Fodé would briefly portray the character. He appeared again on the show from March 9 to April 5, 2018.
Matthew Atkinson (2019–present)
An update was given on Thomas Forrester’s character on February 11, 2019, with Matthew Atkinson cast in the role. Unlike the other actors who had portrayed the character, Atkinson had experience in soap operas, having been a series regular as Austin Travers on The Young and the Restless. He also appeared as a guest star on NCIS: Los Angeles from 2017 to 2018. Matthew Atkinson made his first appearance as Thomas Forrester in the episode that aired on March 15, 2019. Atkinson’s portrayal of Thomas introduced the psycho personality the character is known for today.
