There is a great deal of energy being created behind the buzz surrounding the new television series, “Will.” The show is built around the presentation of a young and passionate William Shakespeare, set during the Elizabethan era. This is not the sometimes boring image that is presented of Shakespeare, but one that acknowledges just how far ahead of his time he was. One of the actresses that are helping to build the excitement concerning the show is Olivia DeJonge. Outside of being exceptionally gorgeous, DeJonge is also a wonderful actress that brings a great deal of character to the show.
Because there are obviously a lot of things that fans don’t know about Olivia, we decided to share five facts about the actress to help everyone get caught up.
1. She Has Already Started Building her Resume
Unlike the show’s star actor, Laurie Davison, who plays the young Shakespeare, DeJonge has already started building her acting resume. She has a few films under her belt, including the horror film, The Visit and The Good Pretender. While she is still perceived as a newcomer, she has definitely begun the process of paying her dues. It is not yet clear what else she has on deck outside of “Will,” but she is well on her way.
2. She is a Native of Australia
Every actor or actress has a point in their lives that they consider the turning point that launched them into their career. With Olivia being born in Melbourne, Australia, her big break came when she was slotted to do voice over work for a hardware store. This voice over was for a radio commercial for the store. Not only did Olivia enjoy the work, but it seems that the commercial was a success, and Olivia had been bitten by the acting bug.
3. She Never Lost Her Feeling for Voice Over
While Olivia has excelled at acting, she has never strayed from her voice over roots. Currently, she has successfully completed more than 40 voice over radio ads. It is not clear if Olivia is simply passionate about doing voice overs or if she is simply staying active to make sure that she always has options, but one thing is certain, she has definitely mastered the art of voice over advertising, and she will likely always have work in that area.
4. She Has a Younger Sister
While it is not 100 percent certain at this time, it is likely that Olivia has a younger sister who will likely be following in her footsteps. The 19-year-old is one of two children by her parents, Robyn and Rob (go figure), but her young sibling is definitely considering her options as far as acting is concerned. It is definitely easier to break into the business when you already have a sibling who is experiencing success.
5. She Still Lives Modestly
While the exact residence is unknown, it is said that Olivia has not made any major purchases as far as houses and cars are concerned, despite having a current net worth of $500,000. We know that she currently resides somewhere in Perth and she is taking her new found fame and accumulating wealth in stride, which is saying a lot considering that she is only 19-years-old. At some point, it is likely that the star will relocate to the U.S. to more actively pursue her acting career.
