Ever since X-Men came out in the theaters, which amazingly was over 15 years ago, the Wolverine costume has been a very common one during Halloween or Comic Cons. While we don’t see the costume nearly as much as we used to, you’ll still catch a dedicated fan dressing up as Logan. But nowadays Hugh Jackman is so jacked up that it’s kind of tough to emulate the body. People never remember that he wasn’t that buff at all back in 2000.
But today I want to focus on the time when Wolverine costumes were very much “in.” You wouldn’t believe the amount of failures that took place back in the day. The feeble attempts at claws and Hugh Jackman’s beard were and still are hilarious to this day. From using spoons and forks to vinyl instead of leather jackets, these people really need a lesson in Cosplaying.
And since we’ve got another X-Men on the horizon I figured now would be a nice time to remind you of how not to dress when you attend your next trade show. If you do choose to be Wolverine, please don’t do it like these 20 people:
