Madison Prewett is a name America knows well. She’s the runner-up from season 24 of The Bachelor. She and entirely too many other women worked hard to make it to the top to take home the grand prize – the heart of bachelor Peter Weber. He previously came in third place during The Bachelorette’s season 15, and he was looking for love. Fans felt confident Prewett and Weber would marry. But, in the end, he didn’t choose her. Weber chose Hannah Ann Sluss, they broke up, he admitted he had feelings for Prewett and her for him, but they chose to ignore that. He then went on to date his fifth-place finalist, Kelley Flanagan, and it was just an interesting season. Now she’s happily engaged, and the world wants to know who the mystery man is. His name is Grant Troutt, and you might be wondering why that name is familiar. Just who is Grant Troutt?
1. He’s The Heir to a Fortune
The first thing anyone tells you about Grant Troutt is that his father is a wealthy man. He’s billionaire Kenny Troutt. He’s most famous for founding Excel Communications, which he sold for $3.5 billion in the late 90s. He also owns a famous farm in Kentucky. It’s called WinStar, and it’s called that because they breed winning horses. We’re talking Kentucky Derby-winning horses.
2. He’s Young
Grant Troutt is young. He’s in his mid-20s, but so is Prewett (whose comment about him being worth the wait has many raising a brow considering she’s all of 26). He was born on March 5, 1996. He was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, where he grew up, went to school, and spent a lot of time playing sports.

3. He’s Athletic
While he’s not currently playing any sports that we are aware of, he’s a former school athlete. He played several sports growing up, and he was good. He played football and basketball throughout his high school career. He was good enough to make the cut in college, too. He played basketball at the University of California, Santa Barbara. What’s more interesting is that he was offered a full scholarship to play. He only played for one season. He was forced to give up his athletic career due to his health.
4. His Faith Comes First
At the end of the day, Grant Troutt is devout. His faith is of the utmost importance to the young man, and he makes that very clear. He is unafraid to share his faith in Jesus and his love of the Lord. Some men are afraid to discuss their faith for fear of judgment, but he is strong in his beliefs and does not allow anyone to bring him down.
5. He Incorporated his Faith Into His Proposal
This young man asked Madi Prewett to be his wife on July 31, 2022, by the ocean in Palm Beach. He set up a romantic situation on the beach that includes a bible with her new name on it. He included her own friends and family in his proposal, too, and it was a moment neither will ever forget.
6. He Just Knew
Some of us are big believers in knowing when you meet the person you’re meant to be with, and he is one of those people, if we had to guess. The couple’s first date was sometime in December 2021, and they became engaged only 7 months later. They knew.

7. He’s a Basketball Coach
Some might think the son of a billionaire might simply jetset and do the young bachelor things, but he’s not that young man. He is a basketball coach. He’s got a day job as an analyst in Texas and a minister. He’s also a young man who puts forth the effort to give back to his community and those who need the most help. He’s someone who knows the value of time and the gift of giving, and he uses both wisely.
8. He’s Not an Only Child
His mother and father welcomed three kids into the world. Grand has a brother and a sister. His sister is Savannah, and his brother is Preston. His mother and father are still happily married, and they reside in Texas. They are a close family who spends a lot of their time together.
9. Was His Proposal A Surprise?
Yes, and no. Prewett did not know that the day he proposed was the day he would propose. But, she knew he would propose because she had a special dress picked out for the proposal. She thought they were headed to the Breakers in Palm Beach to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Grant became ill and could not attend. She went to meet friends but instead was met by her mother and sister and the dress she’d chosen for her engagement. She knew when her mother had her change into the dress what was happening.
10. His Fiance Says Lovely Things About Him
She says they were both so nervous on their first date that a lot went wrong, yet it all went so right. She calls him a person who is filled with purpose, filled with passion, and who loves Jesus as well as people. She’s excited to become his wife, and we extend our deepest congratulations to the newly engaged couple.
