When we go to the movies we generally go to escape. While we may do an analysis of the film after we watch it, it’s rare that we truly dig into the movie in ways that our “normal” selves would. After all, when you see a movie you’re following what the movie wants you to see, not what conventional society or reality says. Why am I saying this? Because there are tons of movies out there featuring characters we tend to love but in reality these are horrible people. Truly horrible people.
Seriously, if we stopped to think about the actions of some characters in movies who we actually root for, feel bad for, and actually empathize with we would realize just how wrong we were. But again, it’s a movie so you’re allowed to root for these people. Rightfully so.
Luckily there are some people out there who truly do the analysis and have shed light on characters that appear to be the kind we’re root for but upon further examination wind up being terrible characters. Here are 10 such characters (disclaimer: two of these characters aren’t technically people)
