ZZ Top and John Fogerty, all of whom are Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, are joining up for a US tour this summer which will take them through the Mid-South. ZZ Top and Fogerty confirmed their plans, calling it the ”Blues and Bayous Tour”. The upcoming tour will kick off on May 25 in Atlantic City according to the stated announcement. Fogerty, who used to front Creedence Clearwater Revival, said that ZZ Top is one of his all-time favorite bands, with bandmember Billy Gibbons an all-time favorite guitarist. In addition, he says his bucket list includes riffs, blues, and bayous, and he’s about to check them off.
ZZ Top’s Gibbons said that [they], as well as Fogerty, had been blues and rock followers ever since the beginning and that they are all looking forward to ripping it up together. ZZ Top is famous for songs such as”Legs”, “Sharp Dressed Man”, “La Grange”, and “Gimme All Your Lovin'”, mostly from the late seventies and early eighties. John Fogerty is known for songs such as “Bad Moon Rising”, “The Old Man Down the Road”, and “Proud Mary” as well as songs made famous when he was the lead singer of Creedence Clearwater Revival, going all the way back to the late sixties.
Tickets will range in price from $29.50 to $149.50, depending on a variety of details, and will be available at all Ticketmaster outlets, going on sale March 9. Opening in Atlantic City at the Borgata Spa & Resort Event Center on May 25, the Blues and Bayous Tour will run though June 29, when the tour will end in Welch, Minnesota. There are a total of twenty-four itinerary dates for concert events. In addition, presale of tickest will available on February 27.
