Young and the Restless’ Biggest Misses

Young and the Restless’ Biggest Misses

Young and the Restless fans feel as if we have seen it all. There have been deaths and kidnappings and baby mama drama and paternity test issues and other things that have happened from start to finish around here, and we don’t feel that we have missed much. People have died, come back, been taken over by other people, and things have been so not what they seemed from the start, and we’ve been unsurprised by most of it. We rarely even flinch when someone comes back from the dead anymore, but maybe that’s because 79 people have come back this year alone. Our point is that there are so many things that we just don’t feel surprised about, but then there are some story lines that are so surprising and so shocking that we cannot get on board with them. They just don’t make any sense for the people involved, and we have to talk about it.

Chelsea’s Mind Loss

We do vaguely remember a time when she rolled into Port Charles with a questionable background and a few things that didn’t make much sense for her, but we did not mind that. She seemed to grow so much while she was here. She made better choices. She did things right. She was a kind person. In fact, she was so kind that she was almost boring for a time. Boring to the point that we were horrified when she suddenly became a terrible person from the background overnight without any indication she was hoarding money, she was in the know about things like Adam’s death, and she was using people in her life. It just did not work for someone who spent so many boring years being a nice girl, and we did not like it. We aren’t even sure how we feel about her now that she is back, either. It’s all a bit too much for us.

Sharon’s Love Issues

She’s been around the block a time or two. In fact, she’s been married to every one of the Newman men in the family, so we aren’t going to say that we find her to be someone who overturned some sort of horrible leaf, but even that is not something we can say with honesty. She’s been a woman who has been hard with the men she’s been with in terms of loving them completely and overwhelmingly — most of the time. But, suddenly, she’s not the girl next door anymore. She’s the woman who has a man on her backburner she almost married. She’s got another one on the side even though she’s with one more. She’s like a woman who is loving having multiple men to play with in her life, and it just does not work for her. We could see her being torn between loving two men, but being halfheartedly interested in a man here and there while juggling two or three others at the same time is nothing we can get on board with — at all. It just isn’t her, and it’s almost painful to watch.

Kevin’s Sudden Obsession

Yes, we do remember that he rolled into Genoa City as one of the creepiest and most disturbing men around, but we also remember him being a kind and wonderful man. But that all changed when the woman he loved and was set to marry had to take off for fear of her life when it was found out she was involved in the death of Adam while working with Victor. He took off with her, and now he does bad things to get things to work out. He went to work for Victor as he had no choice, but his shady new character shift since coming back to the show is not one we are in love with. It no longer seems to work for the Kevin character we grew to love over the years, and we want him to go back to being a nice man who simply does not worry about his life and the people in it and all tha they are up to. We don’t want to bother with this anymore, so we hope it all works out for us.
