If you’re wondering who this person is, you don’t know what you’re missing. People that are fans of Saturday Night Live will undoubtedly recognize the name as a popular character that recently did a skit on the show. In reality, that character was none other than Adam Driver, the person that played the infamous Kylo Ren in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Most people recognize him almost instantly, although he does look a little bit different with the blonde hair, glasses and that bright work vest. Nevertheless, people were excited to see him doing a skit for Saturday Night Live. If you missed it, you really should go online and try to watch it because it’s definitely worth seeing. The skit itself involves him going undercover, in much the same way that people used to do with the show Undercover Boss. The whole idea is for him to see what other people are saying about him.
As you remember from the movie, Kylo Ren has some serious anger issues. Even the people that are supposedly with him on the dark side are afraid of him. When he breaks out into one of his angry outbursts, nobody wants anything to do with him and they do whatever they can to get as far away from him as possible. Perhaps all of that anger comes from constantly being torn apart between becoming evil or becoming good, as he frequently seems to be walking that fine line where he’s actually a little bit of both.
Whatever the case might be that causes Kylo Ren’s anger, the Saturday Night Live skit involves him going undercover as Matt the radar technician. He wants to know what people have to say about him, largely because he’s got some serious anxiety about how people perceive him. This is understandable, especially when you consider the fact that he has a tendency to throw things, throw people, and tear things up with a lightsaber every time he gets mad.
As you might have guessed, the skit only gets funnier from there. After all, it is a Saturday Night Live skit and it’s well worth watching. It would be almost impossible to explain how funny the skit really is without you seeing it for yourself. Adam Driver does a great job playing Matt the radar technician, so much so that a lot of fans have been asking whether or not this was a one-off event or if Matt the radar technician will make future appearances on the show.
For now, everybody’s being fairly tight-lipped about it. However, Saturday Night Live has a habit of bringing their most popular skits back for future performances. Since this one was so popular, there’s a better-than-average chance that Matt the radar technician will be back in the future, provided they can convince Adam Driver to come back for repeat appearances. This is something that several A-list stars have done in the past, so there’s always hope that they will eventually work something out that occurs on at least a semi-regular basis.
