The Travel Channel series “Mysteries at the Museum” is a show that can go on indefinitely by virtue of its nature alone. The popular educational series deals with the facts surrounding some of the greatest mysteries in the world. The Museum contains items with great historical value and the show highlights several of them in each episode. As long as there is history being made, there will always be a place for a program that teaches us about these interesting tales from yesteryear. Don Wildman is the host of the show and his daring has made it even more exciting and here are the reasons why it could go on forever.

“Mysteries at the Museum” keeps viewers intrigued

The show is far from a documentary that regurgitates dry facts about episodes in history. In fact, it’s more of an hour of storytelling. Museums contain items from special events and people in the history of the world and this is one of the things that we love about the show. Each episode contains a variety of interesting stories that include murder, mystery, scandal and discovery [1].

Each episode of “Mysteries at the Museum is chocked full of interesting stories that hold our attention and the stories are a retelling of significant historical events. Each season of the television series features 13 episodes. Each segment contains several interesting stories about object which are found in museums throughout the world. The story begins with a look at the object, a description of it and then the story behind it that makes it an iconic piece is shared. actors perform re-enactments of the stories behind the museum pieces and experts share interesting facts. There are often special episodes and there are plenty of field adventures to make the segments even more exciting [2].

Don Wildman travels to the historic sites

In many of the episodes, Don Wildman, the host of the show travels to the historical places where the stories about the museum pieces take place. He asks pertinent questions that reveal a great deal about the history of the museum items and he participates in cultural activities which in turn teach viewers more about the world on the outside and about days gone by. Times were certainly different a century ago or even 4 or 5 centuries ago and Wilder uncovers some amazing facts about different ages throughout a variety of countries in the world [3]. Don Wildman has traversed the world in search of the facts and on several occasions his own safety has been put at risk in pursuit of the truth about mysteries, scandals and interesting stories he’s checked out. He’s investigated everything from UFOs and government cover ups to the search for the legendary Bigfoot. There have also been stories about the ancient city of Pompeii and the demise of its citizens. There are so many mysteries that have not yet been investigated that it will take decades to scratch the surface [4].

Final thoughts

There is every reason to believe that “Mysteries at the Museum” is a show that will go on for many years to come. It could feasibly go on forever. As long as there are humans on the earth there will be interesting mysteries to investigate. There will always be things that we wonder about and as long as the producers are willing to create and broadcast the weekly episodes each season, there will be plenty of new directions to take these factual stories. The show is simply intriguing and it’s great family entertainment that we learn a lot from watching. Mysteries at the Museum, for some of us is a show that we look forward to seeing because there is always so much more to learn and you never know where they will take us on the next set of adventures.
