Game of Silence has a very “Sleepers” feel to it in that the main characters, as kids, di something horrible that they didn’t mean to do and were sent to a very nasty place that messed them up and sent them down very different paths. Jackson decided to make his life into something better while the others lived with the pain and anguish that became their young lives until finally one day the guys catch up with Jackson and ask him for his help with one of their buddies from back in the day. Unfortunately this drags Jackson into a past that he tried desperately to forget, and eventually begins to affect his life in a very negative manner. However much this show could have done will never be known unfortunately as it was canceled after one season.
Here’s what the cast has been up to since.
Conor O’Farrell – Roy Carroll
Conor hasn’t done a lot since the show but he’s had a wide range of roles throughout his career leading up to it. He was in Stir of Echoes with Kevin Bacon and he’s also been in shows such as NCIS, Justified, True Blood, and many more. His career’s been pretty set so it’s easy to think that he’s doing just fine since the show ended.
Demetrius Grosse – Terry Suggs
Demetrius was in The Brave in 2017 and then joined the cast of Rampage for its 2018 release. He’s been keeping pretty busy ever since the show ended and has a modest filmography that’s been building since he entered show business.
Claire van der Boom – Marina Nagle
Claire has been keeping busy between TV and films since the show ended and seems to have a very hectic schedule since she’s bouncing back and forth between the two. So far many of the actors from the show have managed to stay busy as they continue further their careers.
Bre Blair – Jesse West
Bre has been extremely busy since the end of the show as just this year she’s been in a couple of TV shows and has no less than three movies that are now in post-production. That speaks highly of someone that wants to keep as busy as possible and can keep finding parts that work for her and that will continue to further her career. It could be that some people hustle because they need to and others are comfortable waiting for the right part, but honestly it seems more like some folks just love to get in there and get as much work as possible so as to pay the bills and get their name out there.
Larenz Tate – Shawn
Larenz was a busy man last year but it doesn’t seem like he’s done anything this year so far. Of course given that he’s had a great career to this point it’s not too hard to imagine that he might take some time off now and again just to relax. He’s been seen in so many different productions that he’s easy to spot and it’s therefore easy to think that he’s not hurting if he takes some time to himself now and again.
Michael Raymond – James-Gil Harris
A lot of his fame came when he was cast for Once Upon A Time, but Michael had been around for a while before that. Following the show he’s still been busy, but he hasn’t managed to do a whole lot just yet. There’s hope however since he’s been in enough films and shows that he’s in fairly high demand considering that he’s a good enough actor to plug in just about anywher and make it work.
David Lyons – Jackson
He’s had a couple of roles since this show ended but so far only one of them has been a main role and he really hasn’t done much else ever since. Right now it would appear that he’s holding steady with the show Seven Seconds and might be there for a while so long as it stays on the air.
The show feels like it could have gone on longer if the audience had been a little bigger and the story line would have gone off in a different direction. It was just too much like Sleepers to really catch on since the movie was something that a lot of people thought was messed up but was also one of a kind. This is what happens unfortunately with stories now and again, they tend to overlap and people forget what came first in their race to produce something original. While the show wasn’t just like the aforementioned movie it was similar enough that it might have left a bad taste in some peoples’ mouths. Originality after all is what a lot of people seek and it does manage to get an audience interested in what the producers and directors have to offer.
