This is pretty cute and really impressive since despite the fact that so many little kids are like walking sponges and pick up everything a lot of them still can’t sing an entire song like this just off the top of their head. What it makes me think about is how often she’s been to Disneyland and whether or not she has that great of a memory. How many things did you keep in your head when you were five? I can still recall a lot of stuff that was of the utmost importance back then but obviously faded as time went on. I think a lot of it had to do with theme songs to my favorite cartoons….
That being said the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland is a fun place to go so long as you’re not easily frightened and are well aware that it’s all meant in good fun. It’s not like say, the Enchanted Forest haunted mansion or any of a dozen haunted mansions in and around your local area whose sole purpose is to scare the living daylights out of you. This Haunted Mansion is designed to be a fun ride and an entertaining time for anyone that comes along and wants to enjoy the spookier side of Disney.
One thing that might be a good idea for Disneyland to consider since so much of their programming benefits from the Halloween season is to perhaps to incorporate a certain “release” from the Haunted Mansion, in which the spirits that are seen to be hitching a ride near the end of the attraction actually mange to get out and can be played by actors or cleverly hidden holographic pictures that can pop up here and there on a random schedule.
Think about it, just for Halloween the spirits could roam the park and show up here and there to put a healthy scare into the guests and create an even more interactive attraction that could draw in even more interested guests that are perhaps willing to go on a guided search for the ghosts. There are so many different ways this could be spun and it could be as controlled as possible with the apparitions being able to be ‘caught’ by special devices that could be sold or even by a special app that could be downloaded on to a device. Because let’s be honest, those that come into Disneyland are not about to put down their phone when it’s time to take pictures. So why not offer something that will allow them to use their phone for another purpose that’s just as much fun?
It would obviously be a Halloween-only attraction but it seems like it would be something that people would flock to initially and would pay good money to see. A special attraction like this usually seems to pull in more people and could increase the revenue by the park at least a little bit.
Hey Disney, if you ever get wind of this, haha, don’t be shy about doling out a little credit.
