Video Of The World’s Smallest Sushi (Made With A Single Grain Of Rice)

Now that you’ve seen the world’s smallest sushi, made with a single grain of rice, you know someone might step up to the challenge eventually if they really want to break this record, if it is a record at that. Sushi isn’t for everyone as it’s been seen, as the running consensus is that it’s all raw fish. There are those dishes that are raw, but some of them simply can’t be served that way due to health concerns. Plus the idea of sushi from where it originated as it relates to that found in America can be quite different. There’s no doubt that much of it in the states is authentic, as people likely wouldn’t want to continue paying for something they considered to be ‘fake’.

But this sushi bar was challenged to make the smallest sushi they could and the owner’s son did just that by creating the smallest slice he could to put on a single grain of rice. In fact it became a thing at the sushi establishment as they’ll serve it to those who ask for free, but only if they buy at least $50 worth of regular-sized sushi. That sounds like a pretty steep price to pay for something that could be gobbled up in one big chomp, but some people will do it. Those that go gaga over sushi because of its health benefits and this and that are usually the ones that will do pretty much anything to get it. It’s a tasty treat really and can fill you up if you eat enough, but overall it’s not a meal for a lot of people. In fact the tiny sushi wouldn’t even be enough for a baby to munch on, which is apparently what they used to do in Japan originally. Back in the day it seems sensible since people didn’t have processed foods at one time and were reliant upon what they could use to give to their children to keep them fed. It seems like kids were a lot tougher back in the day.

Sushi however is something that is considered to be trendy by some and a sometimes-treat for others that couldn’t subsist on the rolls all by themselves. It’s a craft no doubt in some areas, as there are those chefs that take great pride in the shaping and forming of their sushi while others simply put them together one bite at a time to be packaged and shipped out. However the sushi is handled it’s usually best when eaten fresh as many people could attest to, as the flavors will still be there and not have gone flat just yet. Plus, it’s usually best to get sushi from an actual sushi restaurant where the chefs are trained professionals that know what they’re doing and can assure that the customers are getting the best possible meal.

Mini sushi seems like a thing that hipsters and those that are constantly following trends would be into, but it could be something that people just find incredibly quirky.
