1. Max the Plumber
The character Max the plumber, played by actor Ivar Kants was an eccentric fellow in the movie “The Plumber” (1979). Dr. Brian Cowper and his wife Jill are in Adelaide where Jill is working on her Master’s in Anthropology thesis. Max shows up unexpectedly telling her that he needs to do a routine maintenance check on her bathroom pipes. He is talkative but seems harmless, until he mentions the time he spent in prison. Jill becomes frightened. As the story moves along, the plumber shows up more and more to make repairs that really aren’t needed. He plays bizarre mind games with the couple until Jill finds a way to get rid of him in this horror/thriller.

Elmer hopes to use his connection with these high flying socialites to market his recent invention, but he ends up falling in love with Patricia in this zany comedy.
5. Plumber in The Seven Year Itch
Victor Moore played the part of the plumber in the 1955 movie “The Seven Year Itch.” This film featured Marilyn Monroe as the naughty girl who lounged around in a bathtub naked while he tried to fix the plumbing. This makes him unforgettable as the uncomfortable guy who tried not to notice that she was not wearing a stitch of clothing. In the film, Monroe was playing the part of a girl who was trying to attract the attention of a married man while his family was away. This bad girl had quite an influence on the men in the 50s era film.
