General Hospital fans see a lot of women come and go over the years. There are so many roles to play, so many people to bring in, and so many stories that require so much more of the people around here. This leaves the door open for so many women to be our favorites and our best of the best in terms of actresses, and we get that. We love some so much we can’t forget all they’ve brought to the table over the years. And some, we don’t get to see much. Some are gone. We have our favorites of all time, but have we let you in recently on our current favorites? We are talking about our favorites from just 2019. The women we love so much we cannot even handle their skill and their talent on the screen as we currently watch. We hope they’re around for a long time, but these are the women we cannot get enough of this year in Port Charles.
Laura Wright
She is everything good in the world all the time. She plays one of the most complex characters on television, and we get that being Carly is not an easy job. We know this character is a range of emotions from one day to the next. If we are being honest, and we are, she’s a range of emotions from one moment to the next. She’s not someone who is good at what she does by accident, and this year she is taking things to an entirely new level. She’s become someone who is going out of her own way to make things right in the world. She’s been this woman for a long time, but Laura Wright is bringing it this year with all the drama in her own life. Not only is she handling the lives of her kids and her husband well, she’s also living with the job of acting out the pregnancy of a woman who is carrying a very sick baby in her uterus. This baby has Spina Bifida, and we know that is a difficult situation to even fathom. She’s playing this role so well that we cannot get enough of her. Her skill shines significantly, and 2019 is clearly her year.
Katelyn MacMullen
Young Willow. It’s hard not to feel something for this young woman the life she is clearly leading. She’s been living a hard life her entire life, and she’s showing us what a strong woman looks like when she’s able to overcome. She was raised in a cult by a man who makes her mother swoon, who killed her own father, and who then impregnated her. she had to get out. She had to do anything and everything she could to get her baby to live and survive and be happy. She had to do all the things, and she had to do them quickly. But, the most important thing she had to do was care for herself in an ugly moment. She did that, and she’s doing that. She’s given birth to a baby, hidden the baby she loves and wants so much, and she’s made it possible for that baby to have a wonderful life away from a man who will ruin that baby. She’s given up everything she ever wanted, she’s gone to jail, and she’s standing her ground to keep this baby alive and well. She’s everything.
Sofia Mattsson
She’s a liar. She’s a con artist. She’s amazing. We cannot get enough of the woman who plays Sasha. She’s not Nina’s daughter. No one knows that, of course, except for her and for Valentin, and she’s doing the job like she was born for it. She’s falling for Michael. She’s falling for the people she’s conning. She’s also sick, and she could die. We simply do not know how her story will play out in the coming days in 2019, but we know she is a woman who continues to amaze us with her skill and her talents, and we love her for it. She’s got it going on, and we cannot get enough of this woman who came in to play a role that doesn’t even seem to work for anyone, but she makes it work for all of us.
