Thor: Ragnarok Trailer is Marvel’s Most Watched Trailer Ever

I guess people really like Chris Hemsworth with short hair as Thor.  That or they really like the whole war paint motif.  Otherwise how can you explain the massive view count for the Thor: Ragnarok trailer?  According the recent reports it’s the most highly watched Marvel trailer of all-time.    Looper says:

The trailer got 136 million views in 24 hours, beating Captain America: Civil War’s previous Marvel record of 94 million views. Beauty and the Beast got 127.6 million views, while the studio’s other recent highly anticipated property, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, had 112 million views in the first day. Thor: Ragnarok still couldn’t destroy the overall trailer viewership records, though. The Fate of the Furious saw 139 million viewers speed by, while Pennywise scared up the all-time record for Stephen King’s It with 197 million views.

Pretty impressive numbers when you’re talking about ALL Marvel films.  You’d think that something from the Avengers would hold the top spot.  Then again, Avengers: Infinity War has yet to release nearly anything yet so we’ll know a little more then.

Other than Thor and The Hulk duking it out in the trailer, we also got a chance to see Cate Blanchett’s character Hela, who does some serious damage to Thor’s home planet.  Thor: Ragnarok doesn’t hit theaters until Nov. 3 but with these trailer numbers, it’s sure to be a box office smash.
