I’m having an extremely difficult time getting used to Bill Belichick smiling. Is anyone else suffering from this problem? It just doesn’t look right. And now he’s wearing a suit on Late night television with Jimmy Fallon? The least he could have done was wear a Pats sweatshirt and some warm up pants. Perhaps he could have donned that Roger Goodell clown shirt that his defensive coordinator Matt Patricia wore on the plane? That would have been super classy.
But seriously, where is the real Belichick? At least one version of Bill Belichick showed up to The Tonight Show with one of his heroes of the Super Bowl, Julian Edelman. The two were there to talk about the game, Edelman’s insanely miraculous catch, and I was hoping they’d explore Edelman’s beard a little.
Edelman was OK but I have to say Bill Belichick could be made for late night television. Maybe it’s winning his millionth Super Bowl that’s calmed him down and made him almost likeable? Don’t worry kids, there’s a 99% chance he was in the film room right after taping for Jimmy Fallon ended.
