General Hospital fans might know that there have been more than a few actors come and go over the years, but some of them never really go. Some of them, in fact, stick around so long that we forget they actually did leave. And we have our favorites for this show just as we do all the others. We know that a good character is created by a great actor, and we want to know if you believe us when we say that these are our favorite male characters on the show. Did we miss someone you feel is super relevant, or do you think that we have lost our minds with our favorites? Let’s hear it.
Sonny Corinthos
Need we even try to explain why we love him so much? He’s been Sonny for so long we can’t even remember life without him. He’s a bad guy as most men who are mobsters and mafia men are reputed to be, but he’s one who makes us love him so much we can’t really be too mad at him for killing people and hiding bodies. Or lying, stealing, cheating, causing drama, kidnapping people, and torturing them. We just cannot be mad at anything he does even though we’d never allow that in our personal lives. He’s just so likable, and we don’t feel that that is something we can change about him. He’s a dad and a husband, he’s a person who doesn’t always make good choices, and he is certainly a person who has made his own fair share of bad decisions. But he’s still our favorite.
Jason Morgan
We love him twofold. We loved him when he was Steve Burton. We loved him when he was Billy Miller. We loved him all the time. We loved him when he was all the people, and we loved him when they were him. Both men did a stellar job with this character, and they both embraced who he is and what he has to do for his friends and family in the role. What we love most about him is that he’s changed so much. He’s a bad guy, too, but he’s one we love and we can’t stop that. He does what needs doing, and nothing will stop him from protecting those he love the most.
He’s the man who will step in front of a bullet, stop a killer in their tracks, and make it impossible for anyone to hurt him or the people he loves ever again. He’s someone who goes out of his own way to make lives miserable so that he can protect people he loves, and it might just be that soft loyalty he has for the people he’s created his family with that has us all kinds of in love with his character. He’s just sweet, but that’s who he is.
Julian Jerome
All right, bear with us here. We know this might not be the man you’d choose as your favorite, but he’s one of ours. He’s someone who makes good choices when he needs to, but he’s always pretty upfront about his poor ones. He’s not above the law — at all — but he does a lot of what he does for the people he loves. He might not have the best relationship with the people in his family, and he certainly doesn’t have the woman he loves. However, he’s charming and fabulous, and he brings us all in and makes it impossible for us to do anything other than love him endlessly when we have a chance. He’s just that kind of man, and we love that about him. He’s someone we can get on board with every single day, and we don’t hate that about him. Do you love him, or do you love to hate him? Either way, he’s envoking all your emotions.
