Well, Bravo, you’ve tricked us again with last night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Miami.
Going into the episode knowing that it was a two-parter, I really felt that the hour would end with the fight between Adriana de Moura and Joanna Krupa that involves the infamous punch to the face which has been teased all season. I didn’t expect it to end with the “cliffhanger” of Marta possibly revealing that she in fact slept with Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis. But I’m getting a head of myself, so let’s start with Dr. Karent Sierra and her inability to please Adriana no matter where she goes.
Everybody Seriously Hates Karent. I Mean Seriously.
The first thirty minutes of the episode dealt mostly with everyone preparing for both Lisa Hochstein’s lingerie party or Lea Black’s annual Black Gala event. However among all that party planning was the subject of just how much the majority of the women hate Dr. Karent Sierra at this point in time. Lea asked for Ana Quincoces and Adriana to play nice with the dentist during the Black Gala, but Adriana is flared up over an interview Karent did with a local paper/magazine. The article, according to those who read it, claimed that Karent pretty much bad mouthed all of them and tried to make herself look like a top Miami celebrity, which you “just don’t do in Miami.”
Gag me with a wooden spoon. First of all, none of the women who read the article mentioned whether or not Karent made a direct attack on their characters or not. They only assumed the article was a direct dig at them, but ike Lea said, why get riled up over a description that you don’t feel represents who you are? Secondly, wouldn’t Bravo have had a gag clause on Karent to prevent her from talking about the show in any capacity? If that’s the case, the interview would have never been published at the time of filming, because it would have ‘confirmed’ The Real Housewives of Miami’s return and the cast for the show before Bravo’s official announcement.
Am I taking up for Dr. Karent? Not really, because despite the way she carries herself, she still comes off as annoying. But when it comes to people digging for reasons to attack someone, I can’t help but label them as “high school-ish” in the least, because that’s plain ridiculous to me. Plus the fact that Adriana will bring the magazine and drama to Lisa’s party next week goes to show just how petty Adriana can be at this point.
Joe Francis is Still a Jackass
It seems that Lea Black prides herself in knowing all-types of celebrities, but her ‘friendship’ with Joe Francis came across as odd, desperate, and about 5-10 years too late.
Joanna made it clear in her confessionals what she thought about Joe Francis, but she remained cordial during the party… that was until Joe Francis started telling everyone there how he slept with not only Joanna, but Marta as well. Joanna, of course, freaked out and called Joe Francis a liar, but the Girls Gone Wild continued to insist (in an annoying way, mind you) not only how he did in fact slept with Joanna at one point, but named locations and the acts they performed as well. Really, dude?
Now, while Joe Francis is still the punkin this scenario, I can’t help but wonder if his story actually has some truth to it when it comes to Joanna. Marta, however, pretty much confirmed her tryst with Mr. Girls Gone Wild, which is sad when you sit down and actually let a brain cell mull about it.
And that was pretty much the entire episode. Sadness, I know.
