Days of Our Lives fans are aware that the new year starts in just a few days, which means that this year is over and everyone is waiting for a new season to start. While the changing of the year might not necessarily mean there is an entirely new situation going on with the show, it does mean something in our lives. It does mean that there is something we can work through with the best of the best and the worst of the worst with the hope that the best gets better and the worst maybe disappears. We aren’t always sure how that works, but we do know that we can look forward to that stuff. As the year comes to an end, we thought we’d take a look back at the best and most loved couples of 2018.
Ben and Ciara
They are, hands down, the favorite couple of the year. They have taken what might work into being a situation and turned it into, well, a situation. They have managed to make the entire world seem like a much better place, a much more amazing place, and he has defied all the odds. He’s managed to take his life and turn it around completely to ensure that everyone falls in love with him and feels that he is the best of the best. He’s managed to make it his goal in life to get us to all forget that he was kind of a serial killer with a big problem in his life, and he’s managed to ensure the entire world went from hating everything about him to loving everything about him in a solid minute. And that is not something that’s easy to do at all. It’s a mess he’s had to deal with on his own, but he’s managed to make it possible. And they are the sweetest couple we’ve ever seen that will make our hearts feel good and our souls feel fulfilled. We are happy with them, and we do want to see them make it work and move on to the next phase even if he is a mentally ill former serial killer who cannot ever make a mistake with his meds.
Steve and Kayla
They always make it possible for us to love them, even though he is now gone. She’s crushed and devastated that he was taken into custody and is now in prison, but she’s still the love of his life and he is the love of hers. She’s the kind of woman who just knows how to make things work in their lives, and she is the kind of woman who will one day have him back. They are the greatest love story this show has ever encountered, and we are positive that they will bring him back eventually and we will all get to see them together again with so much love to give and show one another. It’s everything we thought possible, and it’s everything we love. Perhaps he will one day return to the show so that we can see them love one another and be together again. We can only hope this is true, but we know that it might be.
John and Marlena
They do love one another so much, and it’s been a long year for them. However, they have managed to make it work for them in a way that will work for all of us, too. She’s not in her right mind, but we do hope that things will turn around for them. Their love story is one that will span the ages, even if she did get shot and put in the hospital on her own wedding day. It might not have been the moment that she was hoping to have, but it will all work out in the end for them. No matter what happens, they always remain one of the best and brightest couples on the show — and we do love them. We love that they are so happy together, and we love that they are so good with one another, so happy together, and so much of a couple in love. It is everything we admire about them.
