Stephen Colbert took some time during the opening of last night’s Late Show to talk about one of the world’s most important news stories: Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston appear to be dating. Yes, as everyone with a computer knows, Twitter blew up on Wednesday when photos of Swift and Hiddleston were released online, and fans of the potential new couple immediately dubbed them “Hiddleswift.”
However, as great as “Hiddleswift” may seem to fans who like both the pop star and the actor, Colbert admitted that he was a little worried about the two of them. In fact, he even told Tom Hiddleston not to break Taylor Swift’s heart, but if he does, Colbert already has the perfect album (and song) title that she could use when she writes about him: Hiddle School Dropout.
Despite his concerns, though, Colbert couldn’t help but get swept up in the romantic craziness that is “Hiddleswift,” but he did have one suggestion for making the couple even greater. As frequent watchers of The Late Show will remember, Colbert and Hiddleston had some pretty dynamite chemistry when he was a guest on the late night show back in March, and the Late Show host thinks that the Thor actor and Swift should capitalize on that energy and become a power trio with him. Just like the album title, Colbert already has a named for the three of them picked out: “Cobiddleswift.”
