I’ve decided to take a break from politics with regards to Stephen Colbert. Want to get a replay of his monologue last night? He talked about Donald Trump, badly. So yeah, that’s about it on that front. I wanted to bring up something way more important like the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition that everyone’s been talking about. This year the magazine featured a record breaking number of “bigger” girls and the magazine seemed to forget a key element that a swimsuit edition would have, swimsuits.
Colbert wonders where all the swimsuits went and to get answers he had cover girl Kate Upton on the show to get some inside information. It turns out this year there was more body paint than anything else so the models weren’t really wearing any swimsuits but rather the swimsuits were “painted on.”
The two talked about all of Upton’s past covers included her recent one. Colbert tried to hold back but obviously had a lot of fun pointing out how scantily clad Upton is in all of her pictures. He tried his best to deflect from Upton’s most talked about body part but each time he did it almost brought more attention to it. Funny stuff.
