You knew that Kellyanne Conway was going to get ripped to shreds for her comments regarding the fact that she’s not Inspector Gadget and suggestion that surveillance on Donald Trump was taking place through microwaves. She also said, “I’m not in the job of having evidence.” If you don’t think this is comical at this point, you just have to laugh right? Well, if you really sit down and think about all this you will of course cry, but try and reach that superficial layer of your psyche that says, “don’t worry this isn’t real so feel free to laugh for now.”
That’s the layer that Stephen Colbert was reaching with audiences as he whipped out a camera from the inside of a microwave. He takes a moment during his monologue to demonstrate how the 44th President of the United States is now as accessible as a Totino’s Pizza Roll.
I would pay to see him have Barack Obama come on the show or better yet do a live interview on the show where each party is actually speaking through a microwave. At some point Barack Obama is going to make a public appearance and address all of this. While he’ll probably take the serious route I would pay to see him do a late night bit instead.
