It’s been an “interesting” first week for President Trump to say the least. Stephen Colbert is back on The Late Show and he wasted no time in analyzing the situation. Colbert started off by mentioning how this was the first Late Show under the Trump administration to which he quickly says, “do you ever regret going on vacation?” Seems as though too much has gone on in the show’s absence for them to even catch up on.
“Take the week off they said. America will still be here when you get back they said. How much damage could he do in a week?” The audience roared with laughter. Colbert then go into his monologue which touched on the many things that the Trump administration is being criticized for this week. From the immigration ban which essentially started it all, to healthcare, climate change, the appointment of Steve Bannon, protests, and just about everything else under the sun, it was a long monologue and more than likely exhausting for the Late Show host.
However, at least he’s got material right? Wrong. We’re pretty sure that at this point Stephen Colbert would trade in President Trump for zero material right now. My personal highlight is the picture they caught of Steve Bannon likened him to someone who was at the liquor store. Does this guy ever shave? Check out the clip below:
