I have no idea how to classify this article. This is mainly a television and movie site so if I reference the movie Arachnophobia does it count? OK good. Let’s face it. Most people are scared of spiders. I know I am. You know that feeling you get when your face comes in contact with a spider web? Everyone who read this is now thinking of that exact feeling and how petrified you are because you think you have a spider crawling on you. Well that’s how it feels. It’s brutal.
So imagine an entire Olympic size swimming pool worth of spider web. I feel like I’m posting this just to get over a fear or something. The spider web you see above (and in the video below) is over 98 feet wide (30+ meters). If that sounds like your worst nightmare, you’re not alone. This isn’t just the stuff of nightmares, though, because the world’s largest spider web exists and it can be found inhabited by thousands of spiders right now in Papamoa, new Zealand.
Obviously I’ll never be in that area in my entire life but wow. Just wow.
