Relive William Shatner’s Legendary Se7en parody at the 1996 MTV Movie Awards

I’m trying to remember what I was doing in 1996 that I would have missed the MTV Movie Awards back then.   I was a senior in high school and I’m guessing I just didn’t care at the time.  Not that I care now but I’m certainly more aware if something incredibly memorable happens at any awards show.  I bring this up because this clip might very well be the best thing I’ve seen all day.   I had no idea this clip, segment, act, parody, even existed.

You might recall that in 1996 the movie that was being talked about and hyped like crazy was the David Fincher classic Se7en.   Starring Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman, it remains one of Fincher’s greatest works and best detective movies we’ve ever seen.  The movie 100% holds up today and Kevin Spacey’s portrayal of John Dough boosted his acting career into the stratosphere.  But little did I know that William Shatner did an unreal parody of this film at the MTV Movie Awards.

Sit back and enjoy this if you haven’t seen it.  If you have, relive one of the finest MTV Movie Awards show moments ever.
