With a new Bladerunner coming out you know that we’re going to be looking a whole new batch of awesome effects, characters, and vehicles that should be able to grasp our attention from the get go. The feel of the movie is the same from the first in that LA is a dirty, hectic place. But the movie is going to be something different for certain, since this time Deckard isn’t the guy looking for the replicants, and the age old question of what he really is could hopefully be answered. Plus, these sick-looking new vehicles are going to be awesome to watch in action. One thing about the future though, they must not have speed bumps, because any one of these rigs would get tore the heck up going over just one of them.
So let’s see what’s coming, shall we?
Spinner
These slick cars can roll on the roadways and hover in the sky, so there’s no real place for criminals to go when these are on patrol. There’s not a lot of chance of outrunning a cop in one of these bad boys, especially if you’re on foot. The sleek design is something that’s bound to stand out in the next movie.
Deckard’s Sedan
No offense but this looks like a piled together piece of junk car. It almost resembles something that Adam Sandler would sing about in one of his old albums. The top looks like mishmash of stuff that just doesn’t belong on the original body and the whole look of it is something that got reconditioned and sold at a discount. As long as it performs though, it should do fine.
Armadillo Van
This has to be one of the most secure cabs in the world. It looks like it could take a solid hit from a semi and keep rolling. Forget a personal car or a luxury sedan of any sort, invest in one of these and car accidents won’t be such a problem any longer. This thing looks like it would come off as the winner more often than not.
Everyday Car
It’s the future right? So you would think they’d have something a little more streamlined for an everyday car instead of a hatchback which is something that a lot of people avoid in the current time. It’s compact and the sponsor is appreciated but why not something that speaks of a little more durability?
Bladerunner Truck
This is a winner, but I’m still trying to figure out just where the driver sits and how the hauling function works on this rig. It’s going to be a new addition since there was nothing like this in the original film, but it should be a welcome sight to the new movie.
Spinner Motorcycle
Sometimes the cars just won’t do, especially if a perp decides to run into a space that is too small for the spinner to pursue. That’s when the motorcycles come into play and even the playing field a little.
So far just from the trailer and the pictures displayed here Bladerunner 2049 looks like it’s going to be awesome.
