Filming hasn’t even begun on Avengers: Infinity War but as you might imagine about any Marvel release, fans are already speculating about plot lines, characters, and anything else you can imagine about the upcoming film. The latest rumors and speculation revolve around Peter Dinklage and his role in the movie. A glimpse at the Game of Thrones star’s new hairstyle and color have given fans a reason to believe he’ll be playing Pip.
Initially, a recent rumor (well, a 4Chan theory more accurately) suggested Peter Dinklage might have signed on to play Eitri the Dwarf-King in Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War, it looks like our first guess might well have been accurate. According to Comicbookmovie
Some photos of the Game of Thrones star in a salon on the Lower East Side of Manhattan have found their way online (via MCU Exchange), and as you can see, the actor is in the process of getting his hair dyed a very distinctive, fiery shade of red. Though this is far from solid evidence, it does point to Dinklage playing Pip the troll, who sports a very similarly-colored ‘do in the comics and plays a significant role in Jim Starlin’s Infinity Saga.
Do you think that Dinklage will play Pip? Is Dinklage just going through a mid life crisis and spicing up the ‘do? I personally think there’s a ton of validity to this theory. Dinklage doesn’t seem like the type who’d fire up his hair red just for the sake of it. Only time will tell but apparently filming for Avengers: Infinity War begins as early as next week.
