General Hospital fans were so excited to see Laura show up yesterday. She’s been missed for so long, and it’s been such a wonderful thing to see her come back and to see her make moves like the ones she’s been making. She’s a serious woman with a lot to offer, and she’s making moves all the time. We were all so heartbroken when the show decided to put her down as a sometimes cast member, so her return is that much more triumphant. While we understand she cannot be the central focus on the show for the rest of her life, we like her enough to be all right with that being the case. She’s back, and she’s better than ever, wouldn’t you say? She’s here to prove that things aren’t always what they seem, and perhaps to find her real second chance at being happy and in love? We hope.
Meanwhile, Sonny is rattled. So much is going on in his life that he cannot control, and he’s not sure how to fix it. He’s never really been in this much danger of it all falling apart, but this year has been a slow falling apart of virtually everything that he’s been given. He’s not happy about most of it, but he’s happy that things are turning around for them in some way. They’re in the middle of some good things happening in their lives, but he can’t see past all that’s going on that doesn’t appear to make much sense. He will get through this, but we do suspect that the coming weeks are going to be even harder than he imagined, and that he will eventually come out on the other side. He’s all right in that case, and this means he might just have a chance.

We love a good anniversary, and the fact that Sam’s been around for 15 years is something we love. She’s someone who has made the show so much more fun, so much more entertaining, and so much more interesting. We love her, and we are all about celebrating what she brings to the table.

Things aren’t going well for Oscar. His health is fading fast, and he’s not allowing Drew to get any closer to him. He’s keeping his dad at arm’s length, and we can’t figure out what he feels he will gain by doing this. Perhaps he doesn’t want to complicated Drew’s life anymore? They did bond so much over the past few months, but we do know that they have their differences. There isn’t a lot that Drew has to offer this boy he never knew he had, and he can’t help if his mother lies to him about so much of their past and their life, but Oscar is not letting him in at all. It’s frustrating and upsetting for Drew.
But what about what is going on with Julian? He’s agreed to back off of his mission, but we don’t think that he means it. We think he only said that to keep the peace with himself and others, but we think he will stay with it and work on it despite what anyone else has to say. He’s not going to back down from a situation like this one in which he feels so much. Nina is shaken, which is not uncommon for her. She’s got a lot on her plate, too, and she’s not going to sit back and allow anyone else to mess with her at this time. She needs to know what is going on and what might happen in the future for her. She’s got so many questions about it all, and she’s right to have those.
