Orange is the New Black is ready for season 5 and will premiere in the summer. The show that essentially put Netflix on the map with regard to their reputation as a TV studio has released its first teaser and it’s looking quite promising. Yesterday it was announced that the series will officially return on June 8th. While we don’t get much from the 15 second teaser we are certainly reminded of how desperate things were when season 4 ended.
The teaser ends on Daya, played by Dascha Polanco, holding a gun. The show’s Twitter page shared the season five trailer, adding ‘There’s no turning back.’ Also, on YouTube, ‘Things will never be the same,’ was written beneath the video as the caption.
While we know this is only 15 seconds there’s no question that legions of OITNB fans are going to be analyzing these tiny pieces of information to no end. Why is Daya holding a gun? What does “Things will never be the same” mean? What in the world is going on?
While we literally can’t give anything away yet, you can be sure that tiny leaks are headed to the internet soon. I suspect things will start to heat up in late March with regards to the show’s marketing but this should keep fans busy for a while.
