The second trailer for Blade Runner 2049 is here and as expected, looks amazing. The visuals, the music, and everything else about this trailer look outstanding. Remember, this is Blade Runner we’re talking about folks. The biggest question going into this film is whether or not director Denis Villeneuve would be able to capture the world that Ridley Scott created. From the looks of the trailer it’s a definitive “yes.”
All of the incredible reflections, projections and world that is Los Angeles from Scott’s creation appear to be back and certainly amplified given current technology’s ability to make scenes look even more real. The story itself is still a mystery but we got a nice look at Jared Leto here who appears to play some kind of Tyrell.
But what is Ryan Gosling’s character, K, looking for? How does Deckard fit in? Who are all those other stars playing? This trailer is eloquent and intelligent in its ability to tease us and tell us nothing at the same time. Blade Runner 2049 opens October 6.
