This morning Marvel released a new poster for the next upcoming Netflix show, Luke Cage, via the show’s Twitter account and simultaneously announced that a new trailer for the show will be dropping tomorrow. Luke Cage will be the third installment of Marvel’s Netflix universe of shows and is set to premiere on September 30th of this year. The show follows in the footsteps of hits Daredevil and Jessica Jones and will be followed by the fourth installment, Iron Fist, which completes the small scale team known as “The Defenders,” who will receive a series on Netflix as well. Marvel has been expanding their universe and so far fans have taken a massive liking to the adult rated and darker toned Netflix shows, which sets up Luke Cage to do pretty well at the end of next month. The poster and tweet about the trailer can be seen below.

Many fans are more excited for the show after seeing Mike Coulter’s introduction to the character through the first season of Jessica Jones, where he played a small but important role. A teaser for Luke Cage was released a couple of weeks ago at San Diego Comic-Con, but still did not reveal too much about the show. Marvel gave fans a ton of content to get excited for at San Diego Comic-Con 2016 and seems ready to push out Luke Cage and Iron Fist so they can move forward with The Defenders, which would bring an Avengers-esque team to the small screen. Between this and the push for a Punisher series after the character was so well-received in a supporting role for Daredevil season 2, Marvel has a pretty nice set up with Netflix that will hopefully continue to expand.
The released teaser for Luke Cage can be found below, but check back tomorrow for the full trailer!
