Movies have to make tough decisions all the time in the editing process. When it comes to a final cut there are tons of scenes and shots that get deleted in order to make the movie more fluid, believable and just overall “better.” However, that doesn’t mean the cut footage is completely gone from existence nor does it mean said cut footage isn’t entertaining in its own right. You’d have to imagine that with a movie like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 there’s a ton of great footage out there we’ll never see in the final cut. Speaking of which, Nathan Fillion shared a tiny piece of it yesterday on Instagram.
The photo you see above was shared by Nathan Fillion and it features a scene he was in that was cut out of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The image came with the following note from the actor:
“From a scene you won’t see in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. Is the movie still spectacular without it? Yes.”
What in the world is he here? It appears he’s some kind of Space Barbarian and I truly wish this outfit makes its way to at least a blooper real. There was a rumor that Fillion was supposed to be playing Simon Williams aka Wonder Man in the film, but this photo doesn’t really line up with that rumor.
Regardless, it’s awesome.
