Sometimes it’s preferred that we just move into the movie and enjoy the ride. But there are those times when things are just so neat and tidy that it kind of makes us shake our head and say “why?”. As in why did the film makers deem this important? Why was this little tidbit necessary? Why did you have to take that much time to film something that could have been assumed? A lot of times we back up and say “Oh, that’s why”. Other times we just kind of shake our heads and fail to understand or just roll with as a means of dealing with the OCD that can be displayed by the director at times.
In any case we deal with it no matter what because quite obviously we watch the film just to see how it ends.
South Park
If you look up to the left chart you’ll see, like usual, Kenny really had no chance.
Logan
Yeah, because Logan wouldn’t have thought to move the backpack that Laura used to see over the wheel when she as driving.
The Mighty Ducks
Always rely on Averman to be the smart-aleck of the bunch. It’s not always appreciated but he’ll always be there to do it.
Little Children
Yeah, sex offenders should be castrated. Right, Patrick….?
Toy Story
Andy must have gotten Woody a while before he got Buzz, because that handwriting got a LOT better from one to the next.
Bee Movie
Every male gets a buzz cut no matter their station. How boring.
Land of the Dead
I guess that kind of high-risk occupation, you know, being a zombie killer, kind of takes a toll on you after a while.
Room
Yeah you might want to replace that, I don’t think the spot’s going to come out.
Lego Batman
Sometimes just assuming the facts is better than taking it frame by frame.
Pulp Fiction
We know it’s not the case but looking at this you would almost assume that Jules eventually became Nick Fury. Maybe that’s what happened when he went to wander the earth.
Monsters Inc.
Just looking at that bell you get the idea that’s been rung a few times.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
It’s probably not the case but this seems like a nod to Citizen King and “Better Days”. Listen to the song and you’ll get it.
Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs
The guy being voiced by Mr. T falls through a chip and leaves a T-shaped hole. How much more meaningful can you get?
The Hobbit
He steals a chess piece? Really? Why?
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
Look at the clouds above after the coin sends out its pulse. Looks like a hand reaching forward doesn’t it? Cool effect.
Boogie Nights
He’s surrounded by stars so ergo he must have star quality. Cue the inspirational music.
Training Day
I don’t think that’s what Alonzo meant when he said to get his feet wet, but oh well.
Iron Man
And it will last an entire 90 seconds because Mr. Coulson said so. Interesting how it lasted JUST that long.
Robots
At least its anatomically correct, right?
Boogie Nights
Either someone was having a little humorous moment or Polaroid wouldn’t play ball with this film.
The Matrix
Maybe she was trying to tell him in her own way?
How To Train Your Dragon
Kind of foreboding considering where the mark is, but at least the accuracy is on.
Inception
Existentialism at its best, or just straight up and purposeful confusion? I vote both.
See? Sometimes we don’t need all that extra noise in the movies.
