Some people can take a lot of joking around, and some people get offended if another person looks at them wrong. This feature is cringe-worthy in a way that might make some viewers stop watching for a moment to compose themselves. Yes, it’s that crazy since Chester, the eccentric, or rather crazy, individual that appears to be running the hotel/lounge, is the type of person who many people would not be able to take the initiative. That could be why Larry, the man checking in during the beginning of this feature, is so nervous around Chester. But then again, it could be that Larry is just the nervous type since he spends his initial hour or two scrubbing his hotel room down from corner to corner, and he even takes a black light and checks every part of the room. If not for the opening of this story, which shows Larry trolling websites mercilessly under his assumed online moniker, one might feel sorry for him.

Something is off about Chester right from the start.

Many of us have been to hotels that aren’t precisely five-star, right? We might have even met up with individuals like Chester. People who like to pull your leg about one thing or another are usually decent enough; they’re either looking for attention or trying to put people at ease, right? Chester is the kind of guy that usually causes the hairs on the back of a person’s neck to rise since he’s the kind of chaotic character that’s out to expose people for a purpose all his own that can’t be controlled in any way other than to feed his crazy with even more craziness that many people can’t even hope to match no matter how hard they try. Even trying to reach that kind of level is a little too close to madness for many people.

The story takes a bit to get into.

It’s straightforward to assume that there’s more to this story than is initially seen since the whole premise is that a man checks into a motel, and the hotel employee starts to mess with him in a way that is initially annoying as hell but becomes dangerous before the night is over. When Larry makes his way into the hotel, it’s pretty apparent that he’s an uptight individual who doesn’t get along with many people and takes a great deal of pleasure in being an internet troll. Some might say that this makes Larry a very miserable person, but it could also be that his antisocial tendencies have something to do with how he was raised. But we won’t get into that at the moment. What is obvious is that the wedding he’s supposed to attend is a sore spot for him since he has feelings for the bride that he might have never had the chance to speak aloud. That kind of becomes irrelevant when Chester enters the picture since from the moment Larry and Chester meet; it’s more than a little obvious that they don’t get along.

Obviously, things only get worse, but what happens is disturbing.

When Larry’s sister, Rachel, arrives, the matter between Larry and Chester reaches a level that’s anything but friendly. Upon her arrival, though, Chester decides to try and make amends by inviting her brother and sister out to the pool for drinks. Things are still kind of awkward, but after several drinks, it becomes easier for Larry to open up and start talking. The result is that he and Rachel start to have a good time as they get properly lit and start laughing and having a good time. Of course, once things go south again, Larry finds himself disoriented, alone with Chester, and uncertain of what’s going on. But when Chester lets him in on what’s happening, he finds that his sister is dead. Larry is made to confess to his trolling online, which has ramifications, of course, and Chester, well, Chester, appears to get his way. As crazy as this feature is, it only gets crazier when Chester and Larry take Rachel’s body on a ride.

The ending of this story is just as nuts as the rest of it.

Armed with a pistol taken from a sheriff he killed earlier in the story, Chester rides along with Larry as Rachel’s body reclines in the back seat. At some point, Larry starts to tell a joke, fashioning it into a story, as Chester plays along and even adds commentary. When the story becomes a bit dark, and Larry becomes more animated, it is easy to see that he’s not in his right mind, and the nearby wall is set to be the punchline of his joke.

In other words, this story is all kind of nuts.
