Meet the Cast of CBS Show “The Neighborhood”

There are a lot of shows on TV now that tend to reflect the culture of certain areas throughout the US and how people view the culture shock that happens when a family from a different culture movies in. The Neighborhood is one of those shows that almost takes you back to a kind of Sanford and Son feeling, almost. The idea of having to live with different people in a neighborhood that’s resisted change for so long is something that some folks don’t take kindly too right away, but find that they have no choice about in the long run. The whole idea of getting along with your neighbors is almost a foreign concept in some cities these days, but the hope is that shows like can at least remind people that despite all of our differences there’s still enough similarity between people and their cultures that can serve as a bridge to keep them close, or at least civil with one another.

Let’s meet the cast of the show.

Hank Greenspan

You can go ahead and think it or say it, Hank is a kid and therefore is lucky to be on this show since it’s giving him a leg up on a career or on anything he wants to do in life later on. This is only his second credited role since the kid is about 8 years old and obviously has a lot to learn, but given that he’s in show business and has enough seasoned actors around him it’s easy to assume that he’s going to get a lot of on the job training.

Marcel Spears

Marcel is another newcomer to the business with only a couple more credits to his name than Hank. He’s been on TV now for a few years and has shown that he has what it takes to get noticed, but at this point he’s still trying to push his career in the right direction. When teaming up with costars like he has on the show it’s going to be a good experience no doubt since those that have been there for a while are usually capable of lending a hand when needed and will dole out tips as they can.

Sheaun McKinney

Sheaun’s been around a bit longer and has managed to get his name out there quite a bit more, though a lot of what he’s done seems to have been in direct to video movies and TV. That being said it’s the experience factor that he brings to the show and the idea that he’ll be another person that can help out with those that haven’t been around as long. He’s the kind of guy that’s studied the craft and made it his business to know as much about it as he can, so it’s fair to say that he’s a great addition.

Tichina Arnold

These next two actors most people should know since they’ve been active for so long and have been very prominent in TV and films. Tichina was on Martin if you can remember as the one woman that Martin just couldn’t get along with and loved to antagonize. She was also featured in Wild Hogs with Martin Lawrence, posing as his wife. The wealth of experience she brings to the show and the distinct and very popular attitude she can flash while having fun with a role is something that might do well to spice up the program just enough to make it edgy but in a very positive way.

Cedric the Entertainer

It would be hard not to know who Cedric the Entertainer is since he’s been one of the most prominent actors throughout the years that anyone can remember. His name alone invokes the kind of memories that many people smile at since he’s been absolutely great whether he’s doing drama, comedy, or a bit of both. Cedric is the kind of actor that can be called upon for just about any project since he puts so much of himself into it that he becomes one of the most important parts.

Max Greenfield

Max is yet another individual that comes with high marks and has been in the entertainment industry for a long time now. Hey, anything past a decade and people can be called veterans without any reservations since it means they’ve earned their stripes and have paid their dues. Max has a long list of accomplishments and roles to fall back on that show just how effective he is in a movie or on the small screen.

Beth Behrs

Apart from her role on 2 Broke Girls Beth’s whole resume reads kind of choppy in the sense that she’s been on other shows for a couple of episodes and then moved on. She’s been in a few movies but nothing too serious so far, and yet she’s still got the kind of experience and skill that can see her through. Her role on the show is likely going to be about as challenging as anything else she’s done, but at the very least it furthers her career.

It might be worth turning this show on to see how it turns out.
