Matt Damon has been an ongoing joke with Jimmy Kimmel for what’s creeping up on over a decade now. From the very beginning Kimmel has expressed his irrational hate for Matt Damon (jokingly of course) and has effectively banned Matt Damon from his show. Damon will make videos with Kimmel’s ex wife Sarah Silverman poking fun at the late night host, and will once in a blue moon surprise his audience with an appearance (like the time he showed up in Ben Affleck’s jacket).
Last night, after all the Tom Brady missing jersey news, Matt Damon found a way to sneak into the Jimmy Kimmel Live set: as Tom Brady himself. But the best part of the whole skit is something that went nearly unnoticed. It was a Deflategate joke. Just before Damon was escorted off stage, Kimmel’s sidekick Guillermo rushed on stage and asked Brady to sign a almost completely flat football. He does, but then it doesn’t even get a mention. He’s taking off stage, and the skit ends. It’s a shame that didn’t get more play.
Still though, the appearance was pretty fun and the audience (as well as Kimmel) clearly got a kick out of it. But the question still remains. Where in the world is Tom Brady’s Super Bowl jersey? Check out the clip below. Hint: it doesn’t answer that question.
