Lucifer: The Devil Gets Evicted. Mama Morningstar Plots to get Lucifer back to Heaven.

Lucifer

They say that home is where the heart is. The fiancée of a late real estate tycoon Dean Cooper’s son killed her future father-in-law for blackmailing her and both of them took the blame for it. In Lucifer’s case, on the other hand, his home is on Earth because his heart is with Detective Decker. On tonight’s episode of Lucifer, our favourite Devil faces eviction from LUX. On top of that, Mommy Dearest plots to convince him to go back to the Silver City. Things are about to get real.

The scene where Eric Cooper (Nick Jandl) showed Lucifer the eviction notice, I rolled my eyes hard when he said that the lease for the club was written in lipstick on a stripper’s thong. To quote Detective Decker, Lucifer, what the hell were you thinking?! Good thing the detective was able to save the club from turning into a mega-mall. She used Lucifer’s brief history lesson about the club to get it preserved as a heritage site by L.A. County. Reminds me of the time that Ichabod Crane tried to make the Archives a historical landmark. It was very smart and sweet of her to do that for him. I also loved the dancing scene with her and Lucifer. #TeamDeckerstar!

On another note, Mama Morningstar irks me greatly as I watched the episode. I get that she wants Lucifer to go back to Heaven with her, but the car bomb scene at the end is just wrong! If she blows up the car along with Detective Decker, which I’m sure she won’t for obvious reasons, Lucifer is going to lose it. When that happens, it’s going to be hell on Earth. Quite literally. Oh, speaking of, I can’t believe that he stood up Detective Decker at the restaurant! He was the one who asked her out as a thank you for saving his home! He could have let her know that he needs to take a rain check! (Side note: “It’s been ages since I’ve sat on a throne.” Understatement of the century).

I completely agreed with Dr. Martin when she said that Lucifer should think about showing Detective Decker his true face. Though I understand that he doesn’t want to scare the detective away because he has a thing for her. When he does decide to show her, I think that she will be shocked at first, maybe a little panicked, but other than that, she won’t freak out like everyone else.

It was highly amusing to see Amenadiel cringe at the thought of his Mum getting it on with Detective Douche. The face that he made at the underground bar was priceless! What I don’t understand is that Detective Douche doesn’t know that Mama Morningstar is Charlotte Richards, a well-known attorney and a married woman. What kind of a cop are you, Detective Douche?

I laughed out loud when Ella put the broken champagne flute back together and channelled her inner Trekkie. Way to break out the Klingon, Miss Lopez! My laughter continued as Ella lowered her raised fist and said that she will dust the glass for prints. You amuse me, Ella. Greatly. The part where Lucifer drew a “third leg” on Eric’s cast was amusing too. In an eye-rolling kind of way. Hope he can work things out with Detective Decker soon!
