Last week, Lip Sync Battle gave us the epic Marvel match-up between Hayley Atwell and Clark Gregg, and now, this Thursday, we’ll get another TV star showdown. However, this week’s battle we’ll be between two former co-stars: Joel McHale and Jim Rash, both of whom were series-regular cast members on the beloved sitcom Community. And from the short but entertaining sneak peek we have below, I think it’s safe to say that this week’s Lip Sync Battle is going to be “streets ahead” of its predecessors.
So what can we expect from McHale and Rash when the two face off this week? Well, even though we aren’t given any snippets of Rash’s performance in the video below, we do see that he’s a wearing blonde wig, a mesh-like top, and what appear to be leather shorts, so we should look forward to a performance that is appropriately Dean Pelton-esque.
Additionally, we have been provided a sneak peek of one of Joel McHale’s songs, and it’s a goofy, weird, and fun (so just like Community). The former Soup host gives his take on Bjork’s 1995 hit “It’s Oh So Quiet.”
Lip Sync Battle is hosted by LL Cool J and Chrissy Tiegen and airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. on Spike. Check out the sneak peek from this Thursday’s episode below:
