Kristin Cavallari is best known for her appearances on the reality TV shows Laguna Beach and The Hills. She has taken a break from reality TV for a while but is now back with a new show which will portray her concentrating on building her fashion empire.
It is also expected that her husband NFL star Jay Cutler will also feature quite heavily in the show. Last season he played as quarterback for the Miami Dolphins after coming out of retirement. It is as yet unclear whether he will return to play for the team in this upcoming season or if he will join a new team. If he does decide that the time is right for retirement then he is likely to pursue a career as an analyst, a position he was offered a year ago at Fox Sports. Cavallari has hinted in the past that she would prefer if Cutler retired from playing but she has also said that she will fully support any decision that he makes.
In the past Cavallari has stated that she would not want her children to appear in any show that she starred in. However, her daily life is going to feature quite heavily in this new show and so she may not be able to avoid scenes with her kids altogether. The difference with this series compared to The Hills is that it is a family orientated show and there is far less of the drama and arguments that The Hills was known for. Jay and Kristin have three children, two boys and a girl.
Despite the appearance of Jay Cutler, and maybe their children, Kristen will very much be the star of the show. The family are now living in Nashville and the show will focus on how she juggled family life with the pressures of work as she tries to get her fashion empire off the ground. Trying to find the perfect balance between their career and family life is something that a lot of mom’s can relate to and it will resonate with a lot of families.
The show is in production at the moment and filming has already begun. Although there has been no official confirmation of the date the show will air it is expected to be later this year. The show will be shown on E! Entertainment channel which is well known for it’s reality shows. More information about the show is expected to be released as filming progresses and the network have a better idea of when it will be ready to broadcast.
Even though the show is primarily about Kristin, comparisons are sure to be drawn with another show on E! that features NFL star Eric Decker and his family. Eric and Jessie: Game On! has run for three seasons so far and portrays how Eric has coped with life outside the NFL with the support of his wife country singer Jessie James. Kristin Cavallari will be hoping that her new show enjoys the same level of success.
