Interesting Fan Theory on Why Morty Will Kill Rick

This show is weird. It bears saying many upon many times, especially if you haven’t ever watched an episode. What you can divine from it rather quickly is that it has a lot to do with dimension-jumping, time-traveling, and multiple versions of Rick and Morty throughout the different dimensions. What the theory in question is all about is whether or not Morty, or evil Morty, or the first Morty, oy, is going to kill Rick. You see what I meant about weird? Fans will no doubt get this pretty simply but I repeat, if you’ve never watched the show you will be able to feel your head spin here very soon. It does make sense however if you really sit and listen, assuming that you follow the line of thinking all the way through.

So, let’s discuss why Morty might kill Rick in the next season, and why.

Rick has been dropping some serious hints that he might have something to do with the creation of evil Morty.

From the torture scene of the multitude of Morty’s to the hints that Rick drops about smart Morty’s leading to nothing good it really seems like Rick, the earth Rick, seems to know more than he’s letting on about when it comes to how evil Morty came to be. It’s a lot of conjecture considering that Rick never really says it aloud, but it’s a pretty big red light. Even Morty seems a little put out when Rick says these kind of things and you can’t blame him since the torture scene is kind of messed up. It might also get Morty thinking that anything Rick does is really not on the level.

Evil Morty is the one that created the matrix of Morty’s that are being tortured.

Even though he made it look like the robot Rick he was controlling via the technology in his eye patch had set up the torture scene, Evil Morty was really running the show. The idea is that he would be able to frame Rick for this heinous act and thus tear him down slowly but methodically. It’s an evil plan that takes a lot of timing and effort, but it’s one that eventually reveals the robot Rick and allows Evil Morty to escape by posing as just another Morty. Still following me?

Evil Morty is the REAL Morty.

When we see Rick’s memories we see that he’s either thought about torturing Morty or he’s actually done it. Now the Morty he’s with at this point would surely remember being tortured, so there s one point in favor of this Morty not being the real deal. Then we take into account that the torture matrix was set up by the robot Rick that was under the control of evil Morty. So evil Morty is out to get Rick and has thus created an army of Morty’s that are good and ticked off due to their torturous experiences. Evil Morty was Rick’s original Morty but suffered so badly at Rick’s hands that he eventually became the bad guy and to prove how smart and dominant he was created his own Rick and started on a plan to frame the real Rick.

Seriously, is your head spinning as fast as mine right now?
