Marvel Studios is currently celebrating ten years of its cinematic universe that has been entertaining its audience through its twenty films. In Singapore, they opened an exhibition that presents a unique opportunity to experience the world of its super heroes. Its cutting-edge exhibition utilizes state-of-the-art AV technology and immersive media to transport you into the dynamic Marvel Cinematic Universe. I had an opportunity to visit the exhibition last month and I will share what I saw around.
The exhibition is located at the ArtScience Museum. The queue in the ticket counter was long and I spent around twenty minutes there. It didn’t bother me as I know that this will be worth it. The admission price is 19 SGD. After I finally bought my ticket, I walked to the exhibition area. The first thing that you will see when you enter the exhibition is the posters of all the films along with a short description each. Then, I finally walked to the first hero that I saw which is the one who introduced us to the universe, Iron Man.
The next one is Captain America. There is no display figure of the first Avenger himself, but what they have in his area is a Helicarrier. It’s a bit disappointing for me since I think that it should have been Captain America on display.
After that is the Thor: Ragnarok area in which you will see Thor and Hulk on display. They are on gladiator mode which is based on their battle scene in the movie. The Mjolnir is on display there as well.
The next one is the Guardians of the Galaxy area in which you will see Rocket Raccoon and Baby Groot on display. They are on this “ready to fight” mood. There is also like an interactive game in which you get to do motion capture of Groot. He will imitate whatever moves you will do. Some people were even dancing. This is my favorite part of the exhibition.
After meeting Rocket and Groot, you’ll get to meet Doctor Strange. There is also an interactive game in this area in which you get to do sorcery like the Sorcerer Supreme hismself.
The next one is the King of Wakanda himself, Black Panther. Most visitors are taking a picture besides him while doing the “Wakanda Forever” salute.
After that is the Ant-Man and the Wasp area. Just like the heroes, they are in miniaturize sizes and the only way to see them is through the magnifying glasses.
Last but not the least is the Avengers: Infinity War area featuring the Mad Titan himself, Thanos, along with the Infinity Stones. After this area, they will lead you to a screening of an AVP presentation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films.
Overall, the exhibition was still great. I think it would have been extra special if the props from the films are also on display. Still, it’s a fun exhibition to attend especially for Marvel fans. I recommend this to all fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The Marvel Studios: Ten Years of Heroes exhibition is still on-going until September 30, 2018. It is located at the ArtScience Museum in Singapore. You can buy your tickets online or through walk-in.
