You may be cool, but you’ll never be “Dalì-Throwing-Gang-Signs-On-A-Gondola” cool.
These pictures come from one of the biggest photographic archives in Europe, Cameraphoto studio in Venice. Among the 320,000 negatives conserved in the archive are over 50 years of history and culture in the City of Water. From protagonists of the cinema to artists, bizarre invasions of elephants and eccentric characters, walks on water, unlikely inventions and adverse weather conditions – all this and much more has passed through the lens of the agencies photographers.
All this coolness needs to be preserved and handed down to future generations. In order to save the original negatives of these photographs, the owner of the archive launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter.
The purpose of this campaign is to raise sufficient funds to digitize the original photographs and obtain copies of the images in high resolution.
