I Turned A Vintage Army Duffle Into A Huggable Teddy Bear

I was sent this army duffle bag into an “Inside-Out” teddy bear for Bonnie, the daughter of the bag’s original owner. My goal was to create the bear to look vintage and retain all the interesting printing on the bag. Making a huggable bear from something like an army duffle allows that item to finally come out of storage and becomes a prominent piece in the home as well as a conversation starter. This bear is 24″ tall, took 4 hours to create, exterior seams for a vintage look and is made from 25 pattern pieces. Film by Nick Abdo
