I think that I along with millions of other people out there who can put two and two together would like to be completely wrong when it comes to the results of the eventually disappointing Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor bout. Anyone who understands boxing knows that this is an extremely lopsided match and the chances of McGregor even challenging Mayweather are slim to none. The odds makers in Vegas know this. Boxing analysts know this. Mayweather certainly knows this.
However, that’s certainly not stopping promoters from hyping up this fight in what will probably be the biggest promotional campaign for any fight in the history of fights. There’s just too many great storylines here. The obscene amount of trash talk. The disdain these guys seem to have for one another. Plus there’s the black and white card which everyone will secretly not talk about but know is there.
Frankly I see Mayweather dodging McGregor the whole fight, doing what he does best, playing defense, and loading up on points. While I have no interest in watching the fight, the actual hype for the fight is going to be a historical spectacle. Take this trailer “180 million dollar dance” for example:
